“In second grade our daughter attended public school. She was having multiple struggles, both socially and academically. I had called the teacher and tried working out different ideas of her staying in during recess and just helping the teacher or working through the struggles of her different studies, no solutions were found. We also found out later that they actually had her in a lower math level but they did not inform us about this.Eventually we pulled her out of public school and tried a virtual homeschool. The daily work with this new system was much more about busywork. No real depth of what she was capable of learning.
As we prayed and prayed over this situation, a friend told me about Vineyard Christian Academy. It sounded too good to be true- Still having home days together. But also being able to go to school in a Christian environment. We came and toured the school and then our daughter did her shadow day. She was so overjoyed about her new friends and the entire school day. We ended up starting that very day. We got our happy girl back. After a year of being at Vineyard Christian Academy, our daughter did the standardized testing and tested at a 98 percentile in math.
Our family is a sports family- it is so nice to have the option of having our kids still be able to play on the public school sports team. This past football season, 4 boys were kicked off the team for vaping in the bathroom during lunch. Just another reason we are so thankful for such a healthy social environment that VCA has. Where something like this is not an issue.
This unique model that Vineyard uses set our daughter up for complete success as she transitioned back into public school for high school, she went straight into three honors classes. She knows who she is with a solid foundation in Christ. Our family is so grateful for Vineyard Christian Academy and we’re excited for the future of this great school.”
